I’m Hannah Gillespie, a native of the Blue Ridge Mountains and happy to call Travelers Rest, South Carolina home.
For over 6 years, I have worked with several community and environmental nonprofits, assisting with marketing and communications strategies. I am currently available for freelance contracts specializing in copywriting, graphic design, and web design.
I am pursuing a Master's in Communications with a concentration in Strategic Digital Communications and Leadership at Wake Forest University.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in 2017 with a B.A. concentrated in Journalism and Sociocultural Anthropology and a minor in Commercial Photography.
Within this, my focus of study was Indigenous Rights and Environmental Justice. This allowed me to complete a special project with an environmental nonprofit based in Southwestern Virginia and participate in fieldwork alongside Indigenous artists in the American Southwest.
Additionally, I am a member of Women Environmentalists for Good and Honor Society.
